Evoke Africa

Inspired by a Lifelong Love of Africa

Welcome to Evoke Africa

Hello! Welcome to the Evoke Africa Blog! Please make yourself comfortable and have a little look around, because I would love for you to learn some more about us.

First things first, I should introduce myself. My name is Naomi, and this blog will be run by me. Evoke Africa is my brain-child you see, and young though it is, I love it completely. As with any young being taking its first tentative steps into the outside world (and it is a being, you know; constantly changing, evolving, learning) proper socialisation is essential! And so that is where you come in!

As you will probably know by now, Evoke Africa is an online retail store. To me, this is both a blessing and a curse. There are the obvious advantages – you can find us whenever you want, as many times as you want. Evoke Africa is open 24/7 and more shopping time can never be a bad thing! But here’s my problem; you never come into contact with anybody. Some might say that that’s kind of the point and yes, it’s lovely not to have to put on a full face of makeup so that I can go and have a little browse. But it lacks atmosphere and that personal touch, which isn’t ideal when you’re trying to evoke the spirit of such a warm and welcoming place such as Africa ;o)

So that’s where the blog comes in! I want to get to know you, and I want you to feel like you can get to know me too. I want you to feel free to come here and ask questions about what you see on the website, to tell me what you like, what you don’t like and what you absolutely love!

What this blog is not about is the “hard sell”. I don’t want to do that, and I’m pretty sure that you don’t want that either. In fact, this blog will probably be less about what’s going on with Evoke Africa and more about Africa itself – food, travel, photographs… Anything goes! More than anything, I want you to be able to come here and find some inspiration in the things that you see.

So please, let me know that you’re here and what your thoughts are so far. I just can’t wait to get to know you!

I ordered an item from Evoke Africa and unfortunately my previous address was on Paypal, so lost my earrings! I contacted Naomi by email -she was lovely and helpful and replied straight away with suggestions as to what I could do to try and retrieve my package. So I dont think you lack the personal touch, and it is very useful being able to browse or place an order at any time!
